| This kit contains all of the necessary items to start you woodcarving. The book provides step-by-step instructions for the basswood projects (called blanks) provided with the kit as well as other carving hints and ideas. The carving knife provided is already sharp. Use the strop and strop abrasive to keep the knife sharp. Stropping (honing) instructions are provided. We recommend a finger and finger guard as well as a glove. Contact an experienced carver or carving club in your area for further instructions. A basic carving class is a good idea. Happy Carving! |
