For those who would like to paint their box a solid color, we recommend this Poplar Arched Lid Box with a Luan top. The inside of the lid has been reinforced with a wood strip for added support.

This Walnut Arched Lid Box has a very 'slight' arch. It has dovetail joints, standard butt hinges, mortise lock. We use decorative inlay banding along the front edge to hide the seam. Wood grain veneer is used for the outside cover on all arched lids. Inside of the lid is reinforced with a wood strip.

This Recessed Lid Box shown below has splined-miter joints with constrasting wood which adds a decorative touch. The lid is recessed 1/2" for tile inlay and has an interlocking lid that lifts off - no hardware needed. We can recess lids to any specification you need - 1/8", 1/4", 3/8" etc.

Add a distinctive touch to any project, from boxes and turnings to antique restoration. Installation is easy, route a groove to the proper width and depth with a straight bit and glue the banding in place. Made of domestic and exotic woods in widths varying from 1/8" to 3/4" wide, 36" long, approximately 1/28" in thickness.
