» 4-axis driver board contained in its own compact anodized aluminum box
» 4 output cables for X, Y, Z and A (rotary) axes with plugs for Sherline stepper motors
» 1 parallel (25-pin) input cable for connection to computer printer port
» 6 amp power supply
» Includes Linux operating system and EMC software on 2-CD set
Sherlines complete CNC systems include a 4-axis driver box and power supply built right into the computer. This driver box is a separate unit that contains the same components. A 25-pin parallel cable comes from the box to connect to the printer port of your own computer. Four cables for X, Y, Z and A (rotary) axes contain plugs ready to plug in to P/N 67127 Sherline stepper motors. A separate power supply is included as is the Linux operating system and EMC motor controller software on a 2 CD set. Operates on 120 VAC or 240 VAC... |

The vertical milling column turns a Sherline lathe into a light-duty mill in less than 30 seconds. This column has a NEMA 23 stepper motor mount in place of the handwheel ready to accept the application of a stepper motor and CNC control. (Motor and control not included.)
Now you have a vertical axis, called the Z-axis that gives you all the functions of a vertical milling machine. You can do drilling, milling, boring, fly cutting everything you could do on a mill, except that you are working with a smaller table. |

» 3700 4 rotary table is fitted with a dual shaft NEMA 23 stepper motor to drive it
» 2 amp, 136 oz-in stepper motor is driven by programmable keypad/driver unit
» Resolution: 400 steps/rev (.0125°)
» Rotation speeds: programmable from 1° to 50° per second
» Divisions (0-999), Degrees (to 3 decimal places), Program and Settings modes
Based on the 3700 4" rotary table, this stand-alone CNC indexer can make your dividing and indexing jobs easy. Instead of cranking the rotary table handwheel by hand, you simply input your desired divisions or degrees and hit the NXT (Next) button.
The stepper motor accurately advances the table to your preprogrammed position. You can divide a circle into from 1 to 999 divisions or into degrees to three decimal places at the touch of a button. The internal memory chip can store two programs of up to 40 steps each with up to four programmable parameters for each step. Resolution of the stepper motor is .0125° per step or 28,800 steps per revolution ±.006°/step based on 400 steps per revolution and a 72:1 worm gear.
Rotation speed is programmable between 1°/second and 50°/ second. The unit can also be daisy-chained to communicate with other 8700 or 8800 (linear control) units to put together sophisticated sequential CNC movements without any need to learn G-code.
A 120 Volt (input) 24 Volt (output) power supply is included as are an extension cable and ½ daisy-chain cable. The 136 oz-in stepper motor includes a handwheel on the rear shaft for optional manual control.
Works with Sherline mills or with other mills, drill presses and production fixtures. Its small size makes it a good fit inside compact enclosures. |

» Attach to any Sherline CNC-ready axis, driven by programmable keypad
» Input commands at the control box to move appropriate lathe or mill slide
» Programmable from 1" /min to 25" /min feed rates
» Input dimensions to 3 and ½ decimal places (.0005")
» No metric version available at this time
The programmable controller is essentially a stepper motor driven power feed for any axis of your Sherline CNC-ready lathe or mill. The driver box contains a programmable chip that uses simple commands entered from its own keypad to control speed, direction and stopping points of your lathe or mill.
Speed is programmable from 1 IPM to 25 IPM, and distance is programmable in .0005 increments. Backlash compensation is also programmable.
Two or more units can be daisy-chained together for sequential operations. It can work with another 8800 controller or with the 8700 rotary table controller for operations like full automation of cutting gear teeth.
Two programs of up to 40 steps with 4 parameters per step (speed, distance, direction and stop/wait for signal) are available. An LCD readout on the control box gives you current position and prompts you for programming commands. Included is a 120 VAC power supply. (NOTE: Available in inch version only, no metric or 240 VAC version available at this time.) |

» Driven by programmable keypad, power supply included
» Drive lathe crosslide or mill X or Y axes with a stepper motor
» Includes 8800 kit above PLUS stepper motor mount and coupler for lathe crosslide, mill X, Y axis
» Newer machines predrilled, drill guide block provided for older machines
Similar to the 8800 linear controller, the 8850 also includes a stepper motor mount for converting the X or Y axis of your Sherline mill or the crosslide of your Sherline lathe to programmable control. The two-piece leadscrews used on these axes are modified by removing the leadscrew end to work with the stepper motor coupling provided, so no new leadscrews are required. Drill guides are provided for drilling and tapping two holes in the end of the table, although newer lathes and mills after 2002 probably already have the holes in place.
This set includes the stepper motor mount, stepper motor, control box, power supply, extension cable and ½ Daisy-chain cable. |
