Whether you're a hobbyist or a professional, you will appreciate this drum sander's digital read-out (DRO) screen for the time and energy it saves. The DRO screen allows you to preset the exact thickness of the work piece and digitally displays it when the sanding is complete, so your sanding can be easily controlled and verified.
The backbone of this superior drum sander is its heavy-duty engine system. The Jet 22-44ODS operates on two separate motors--one that rotates the conveyor belt and a powerful 1-3/4 HP motor that rotates the sanding drum and employs a continuous duty cycle to provide consistent power and stand up to extended usage. |
| The precision-flattened steel conveyor bed is fashioned with conveyor belt trackers that relieve the need for frequent belt adjustments. An infeed and an outfeed table abut the conveyor belt, providing plenty of support for the work piece, while four handy casters let you wheel the sander to your desired location, then lock firmly into place for stability during use.
This sander also offers a built-in cabinet with a door to help you keep your work space organized. |
A production class drum sander that is loaded with features. A 5 HP motor drives the dual steel drums of the Powermatic DDS-225 which have a hard durometer rubber coating to ensure a flat, mar free finish. The Powermatic DDS-225 has an independently adjustable rear drum that makes fine tuning easy. A heavy cast iron table incorporates four solid jackscrews with chain drive timing to keep it level at all times. The heavy-duty poly conveyor belt provides the Powermatic DDS-225 a positive grip on the stock. The 1/4 HP feed motor is coupled to a two-speed forward/reverse gearbox that will sand 8 and 12 surface feet per minute. The heavy steel cabinet of the Powermatic DDS-237 provides vibration free sanding, with plenty of storage space underneath.

Finally, get the even sanding performance only a self-feeding drum sander can provide in a smaller shop sized unit. The 12" width and 3-3/4" thick capacity handles most of the stock produced in any shop, which makes it the ideal machine for removing, telltale surface planet marks. Accepts hook and loop sanding rolls for easy installation and grit changes. |
