Create-a-Bed Vertical Mount Murphy Bed Hardware

Make your own folding bed using our hardware. Hardware includes plan for making basic box construction bed. A comfortable bed by night, and attractive furniture by day.

A fold down bed mechanism is perfect for guests, small rooms and apartments. This finely engineered hardware is counterbalanced for smooth operation without binding or overextending. Mechanism uses a sophisticated piston lift system rather than old-fashioned springs that can snap back.

Beds are held securely closed, and open gently for added safety. Steel pivot pin and bracket points install easily without adjustments. Includes instructions for basic cabinet construction and instructional DVD.

Hardware available in Twin, Full or Queen Sizes.

Murphy Bed Side Mount Hardware Kit

Choose Side Mount Hardware in Twin, Full or Queen Sizes. This fold down bed mechanism is perfect for creating sleeping quarters for guests, apartments and small rooms.

Like the vertical mount bed, this finely engineered hardware is counterbalanced for smooth operation without binding or overextending. It uses a sophisticated piston lift system rather than old-fashioned springs. Beds are held securely closed, and open gently for added safety. Bookcase System for Murphy Bed

Get this stylish look using our plan and lighting kits. Each bookcase kit includes 1 swivel incandescent light and 1 pushbutton switch. Bed box kit contains 2 swivel incandescent lights and a 3 - stage dimmer switch (25%, 50%, 100% and off). Available for Vertical bed only.

This plan uses roller hardware which is inexpensive, durable and easy to use. The plan includes a full-size pattern for creating a jig which makes the routing easy (routing is required to install the roller hardware). The roller kit and fastener kit together include all the parts needed to assemble plan #37761. The Roller Kit (#38437) is available separately for use on your own design.
