Build a compact cabinet with almost the entire space dedicated to the LCD TV and very little to house the lift mechanism. It starts at "ground zero" with a 1/8" steel plate that serves as the TV mount and attaches to the bottom of the cabinet.

Finished dimensions for the Entertainment Center Cabinet are approximately 80'' H x 38'' W x 24'' D. The two side cabinets are approximately 75'' High x 25'' Wide x 21'' Deep each. Area for the television is approximately 37'' High x 36'' Wide (with flipper door hardware installed this will handle up to most 32" diagonal TV's) x 22'' Deep. Constructing the entertainment center will require about 100 hours of shop time.
